New beginnings

Heyyy guys, I'm Naini, and I'm thrilled to be sharing my college adventures with you through this blog. As I dive into this new chapter of my life, I want to take a moment to reflect on my initial days of college.

Walking onto campus for the first time was very overwhelming . The big campus, the huge crowds of students, and the noise made me very nervous but at the same time i felt excited too.

One of the reasons I chose to major in computer science is because of my love for coding. I hope to gain more knowledge about the subject and, ultimately, contribute to it in a meaningful way.

College is a place where diverse individuals meet, and I've had the chance to meet some wonderful people (and some not-so-wonderful people) from all walks of life. There was a lot of awkwardness in the beginning. It took me some time to adjust but as time passed , i did manage to make some meaningful connections.I hope that these connections stay for more than just the time in college.

Before arriving, I did have some expectations about college life. Most of them were based on American movies and TV shows . As I settled into my hostel and attended my first few classes, I realized that the reality of college is completely different from the one's shown in movies and TV shows. The first few days were very lonely and boring, and I spent most of my time alone in my hostel. Needless to say, I was very homesick. But as time passed, I did find new people and was not lonely anymore.

If I could give advice to incoming freshmen, it would be to be open minded . Be okay with being alone; you will not always have people around you. And to be honest, it will be hard to make connections, and it will require a lot of work and time, so be patient. You will find your people. College is a time to find your true self, so don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and explore new interests. Don't be afraid to ask questions, because if you don't ask, you won't get answers. And the most important advice is to stay focused and to be happy (though it is easier said than done).

In the coming weeks and months, I look forward to sharing more about my college journey, including insights into campus life, the drama with friends, the stress and how to try managing everything. Stay tuned to hear more from me!!!
